Job Title: HGV Senior Technician / MOT Tester
Type: Full Time | Permanent | Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: £37,183 – £40,131 (+ £20,000 OTE!)
Location: Chichester
Start Date: Immediate
We are proud to be supporting our Chichester based client, in recruiting a skilled Senior HGV Technician / MOT Tester to join their workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining essential public service vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and repair LGV and HGV fleet vehicles.
- Support maintenance and repair of additional vehicles including road sweepers and 3.5-tonne vehicles where applicable.
- Carry out MOT preparation and testing (if qualified).
- Undertake body repairs and basic fault diagnosis.
- Complete work documentation accurately.
- Work collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and wider team to ensure fleet availability and operational excellence.
About You:
- Experience working with HGVs and/or LGVs.
- MOT Tester qualification (desirable, not essential).
- IRTEC qualification (desirable, not essential).
- Full HGV driving licence (desirable, not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
