Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver – Days
Location: Preston Area
Salary: £14.57 – £18.57 per hour PAYE
Job Type: Full-time
Shift Pattern: Days Monday to Friday.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking 8 HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team at local respected and growing logistics providers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, professional drivers who are looking for consistent work with local reputable companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Depot to Depot deliveries and pick ups.
- Delivering goods to businesses
- Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with all DVSA regulations
- Accurate completion of paperwork and correct use of tachograph
- Communicating effectively with Driver Hire operational Staff
- Communicating effectively with transport planners and other team members
Requirements:
- Valid UK issued HGV Class 2 licence
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- A good understanding of driver hours and WTD regulations
- A flexible and professional can do attitude
