HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm
Location: Mallusk, Newtownabbey Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (Full-time upon successful completion) Salary: Competitive, with additional benefits
One of the UK’s leading metal stockholders, supplying stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and bronze to a wide range of industries. Our Mallusk branch is a busy, well‑established operation, and we’re now seeking a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver to join us on a temp-to-perm basis, with a permanent role available for the right candidate.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering our products safely and professionally to customers across Northern Ireland. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where reliability and a positive attitude matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver metal products safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Complete daily vehicle checks and comply with transport legislation
- Load and unload materials (training provided if needed)
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
- Communicate effectively with the transport office
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point
What We’re Looking For
- Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of NI routes
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with metal or construction materials is an advantage but not essential
