About the Role
- Position: HGV Class 2 Driver
- Location: Darlington & surrounding areas
- Type: Long‑term, ongoing supply
- Shifts: Mix of same-day runs and overnight assignments
- Start: Immediate start available
This role offers a good balance of day and night work, delivering a variety of goods to different destinations. Some lifting will be required, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is important.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete same-day and overnight delivery routes
- Load, unload and handle goods safely
- Deliver to a variety of destinations across the region
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Maintain accurate paperwork and follow all compliance procedures
- Represent Driver Hire and our clients professionally at all times
Requirements
- Full UK Cat C (Class 2) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digi Tacho Card
- Ability to lift and move goods as required
- Flexible approach to shift patterns
- Good communication and customer service skills
