HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Northampton
Pay: £15.00 per hour (PAYE) / £16.81 per hour (PAYE Advanced, incl. holiday pay)
Job Type: Monday–Friday (Temporary/Ongoing)
Start Time: From 06:00am
Shift Length: Minimum 8 hours (longer days possible during busy periods)

Commutable From: Daventry, Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby

About the Opportunities

We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for multiple positions across Northampton. Our long-standing clients operate in a variety of sectors, including:

• Builders Merchants
• General Haulage
• Scaffolding
• Manufacturing
• Metal Products

These roles offer regular Monday–Friday work, stable start times, and minimal handball.

What the Role Involves

(Duties vary by client)

• Completing local or national deliveries
• Driving flatbed or curtainsider vehicles (dependent on site)
• Minimal manual handling
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Operating safely and professionally at all times
• Maintaining a strong understanding of drivers’ hours and regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Tachograph & CPC
• Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major offences)
• Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused individuals
