Driver Hire Stockport are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 (C) Driver to work for our well respected client in the Stockport area. The candidate must have HGV experience, and will be responsible for making deliveries in a safe and timely manner. Deliveries will be around the area – up to 30 drops daily.
This job role will consist of going out with a drivers mate to make home deliveries, so good communication is required. The shift pattern will change on a weekly basis however it will include working 4-6 days a week on a Monday to Sunday Rota with the start times varying from 8am-11am starts. Saturday and Sunday work is also available at an enhanced rate.
Please note there will be inductions to complete training.
Duties of our HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly while obeying all traffic laws.
- Carrying out the required daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Completing all paperwork daily such as delivery notes, milage, defects
Requirements of our HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2)
- A Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- A minimum of 12 months experience is required
- No more than 6 points on licence
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
PAY RATES:
£15.68ph- Minimum 8 hours paid
£22.05ph overtime- Paid after 8 hours (1 hour break taken)
£22.05ph- Saturday shift and £28.01ph- Sunday shift
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rated, if you wish to accrue these separately then your hourly rates will become: £14.00ph- Minimum 8 hours paid and £19.68ph overtime
£19.68ph- Saturday shift £25.00ph- Sunday shift.
