HGV Class 1 Night Driver
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: £19.62 per hour
Job Type: Night Shift (Monday – Friday / occasional Sundays)
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join a well-established and respected logistics operation in the automotive distribution sector. This role involves trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries, ensuring automotive parts are transported safely and efficiently during night operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out Class 1 (C+E) night deliveries
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of goods between distribution centres and regional depots
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic logs
- Manual handling required, including pushing crates on and off the vehicle
What we are looking for:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
- Must have at least 2 years Class 1 driving experience
- Valid CPC & Tacho Card
- Digital tachograph card
- Good understanding of UK driving regulations and compliance
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts consistently
