HGV Class 1 Driver – Skip Driver (Temp to Perm)
Location: Barnsley, UK
Shift Patter: Mon – Fri (Start times vary 2am – 4am)
Salary: £15.50 basic – £17.37 including advanced holiday pay (£26.06 overtime)
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our client as a Skip Driver located in Barnsley. No prior skip-specific experience is required as full training will be provided.
Our client is a leading provider of industrial materials, committed to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 HGV to collect and deliver skips safely
- Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure goods and materials are handled and transported securely
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with the team
What we are looking for:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license
- Minimum 2 years – Class 1 experience
- Willingness to learn skip handling and company-specific procedures
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability
- Excellent communication skills
