HGV Class 1 C+E Driver – Day and Night Shifts – Newton Abbot
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Accessible from Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, South Brent, Kingsbridge and Salcombe.
Pay: £14.97 to £22.46 per hour (PAYE Advanced).
Other pay models are available. Weekly pay. Minimum 8 hours paid per shift.
Driver Hire/ dh Recruitment (Torbay) is recruiting HGV Class 1 C+E Drivers for day and night work on an ad-hoc basis, with temp-to-perm opportunities for the right person. The work involves delivering and collecting caged goods across the South West and South Wales for a long-established logistics company.
The Role
• Driving a Class 1 C+E vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Moving caged goods between customer sites across the region.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Following all driving, safety and compliance regulations.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Representing Driver Hire and our client in a professional manner.
Shift Options
• Day shifts starting from 05:00.
• Night shifts starting between 14:00 and 18:00.
• Work available Monday to Sunday.
What You Need
Essential:
• UK HGV Class 1 C+E licence.
• CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes).
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
Desirable:
• Experience with caged deliveries.
• Good geographical knowledge of the South West and South Wales.
• Flexibility with shift patterns.
