🚛 Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Ongoing Work with Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Edinburgh

🕒 Start Times (Alternating Rota) – Edinburgh West
Start Date: Early February 2026 | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
• Week 1: 11:00am starts, Monday to Friday
• Week 2: 8:00am Sunday start, then 11:00am starts Monday to Thursday/Friday
🕒 Start Times (Alternating Rota) – Edinburgh East
Start Date: Late February 2026 | Ongoing until late June 2026
• Week 1: 8:00am starts, Monday to Friday
• Week 2: 8:00am starts, Monday to Saturday
➕ Additional Shift Availability (Both Sites)
Extra shifts are available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, including holiday cover. Start times will be either 7:00am or 11:00am, depending on operational needs.
💰 Pay Rates
• Monday–Friday: £14.70 PAYE / £16.47 PAYE Advanced
• Overtime (after 8 hours): £22.05 PAYE / £24.71 PAYE Advanced
• Saturday: £22.05 PAYE / £24.71 PAYE Advanced
• Sunday: £29.40 PAYE / £32.95 PAYE Advanced
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay plus holiday accrual (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is delighted to be recruiting Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers for one of our long-established clients, with positions available at both Edinburgh West and Edinburgh East depots.
This role offers ongoing work with a genuine temp-to-perm pathway, making it ideal for drivers looking for stability, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.

🚚 Key Duties
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries throughout Edinburgh and nearby areas
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading, unloading, and heavier items
• Completing deliveries safely, efficiently, and within schedule
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing all paperwork accurately
• Delivering excellent customer service at every stop
✅ What We’re Looking For
• Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum of 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
