Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a temp-perm opportunity for an experienced HGV driver with our client in Bournemouth.
*You will receive a £100 Bonus for the first 20 shifts that you complete with Driver Hire.*
For this role, you will be responsible for driving a variety of HGV Class 1 Vehicles.
Position: HGV Driver
Days: Monday – Friday (rota)
Start time: 08:00 AM
Location: Bournemouth
Pay Rate: £17.37 (basic), £19.61 (Nights & Saturdays), £20.73 (Sunday & Bank Holiday) an hour. Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.
As a HGV Driver you MUST have:
- a valid UK HGV Class 1 driving licence
- a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
- no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
- your own transport to get to and from work
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
