Van Driver – Home Delivery
Location: Nether Heyford
Pay: £12.71 per hour (PAYE) / £14.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced, incl. holiday pay)
Job Type: Temporary
Shift Pattern: 4–5 days per week on a rota, including some Saturdays
Start Time: 05:00am
Shift Length: 10–12 hours
Commutable From: Northampton, Towcester, Milton Keynes, Daventry
About the Role
We’re looking for reliable and customer‑focused Van Drivers to join our home delivery team based in Daventry. You’ll be driving a 3.5T van, delivering home appliances as part of a 1‑ or 2‑person crew. This is a hands‑on position involving customer interaction, room‑of‑choice deliveries, and some installation work (training provided).
Your main duties will include:
- Delivering household appliances to customers’ homes
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery
- Delivering items to the customer’s room of choice
- Unpacking items and removing packaging
- Installing appliances (full training provided)
- Removing old appliances when required
What We’re Looking For
- A valid Cat B driving licence
- Minimum 12 months van driving experience
- Previous multidrop delivery experience
- No more than 6 penalty points, with no major offences
- Good physical fitness – some manual handling is required
- A positive attitude and strong customer service skills
