Class 2 Driver – Roofing Specialist (Company will put you through your HIAB)
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a well‑established roofing specialist based in Uddingston. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering consistent hours and long‑term stability with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £14.50 to £15 per hour starting salary
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB grab once trained and licenced
- Delivering roofing materials to various sites
- Assisting with loading/unloading when required
- Completing deliveries safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- HIAB certification preferred but not essential
- If you only hold a Class 2 licence, the company will put you through your HIAB qualification
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience preferred but newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
