🚛 Ad Hoc Class 2 (Category C) Driver – Flexible Work Available

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to support a well-established steel company within Edinburgh City.
This is an ad hoc role, ideal for drivers looking for flexible, as-and-when work with competitive pay and the opportunity to pick up regular shifts.

🕒 Working Patterns
- Flexible, ad hoc shifts based on business requirements
- Work available across Edinburgh City and surrounding areas
- Shifts available on weekdays and weekends
- Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
➕ Additional shifts often available for holiday cover and peak demand
💰 Pay Rates
Monday – Friday:
- £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
- £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime (after 8 hours):
- £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
- £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift
✅ Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected)
🚚 The Role
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle delivering steel products across Edinburgh City
- Multi-drop deliveries with support from a driver’s mate
- Assisting with loading/unloading, including heavy items
- Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service
✅ What You’ll Need
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
