📍 Edinburgh – East & West Depots

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers for a well-established client, with opportunities available at both Edinburgh East and West depots.

This is an ongoing role with a genuine temp-to-perm pathway—ideal for drivers looking for long-term stability, consistent hours, and competitive pay.

🕒 Working Patterns

📍 Edinburgh West
  Temp-to-Perm

Rotating weekly schedule:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday – 11:00am starts

• Week 2: Sunday (8:00am start), then Monday to Thursday/Friday – 11:00am starts

📍 Edinburgh East
 Ongoing until late June 2026

Rotating weekly schedule:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday – 8:00am starts

• Week 2: Monday to Saturday – 8:00am starts

➕ Additional Shifts (Both Locations)
Extra shifts are frequently available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, including holiday cover.

⏱ Start times typically 7:00am or 11:00am, depending on operational requirements

💰 Pay Rates

Monday – Friday:

• £14.50 per hour (PAYE)

• £16.47 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Overtime (after 8 hours):

• £22.05 per hour (PAYE)

• £24.71 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Saturday:

• £22.05 per hour (PAYE)

• £24.71 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Sunday:

• £29.40 per hour (PAYE)

• £32.95 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected)

🚚 The Role

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and surrounding areas

• Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading, unloading, and heavy items

• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate paperwork

• Delivering excellent customer service at each stop

✅ What You’ll Need

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

• No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• At least 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
