Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for ongoing work based in Sedgefield.
This role involves collections from hospitals and healthcare sites, transporting medical waste in a safe, professional and compliant manner.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable Class 1 driver looking for regular work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
- Driving Class 1 vehicles
- Collecting medical waste from hospitals and healthcare sites
- Working to planned routes and schedules
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
- Following site rules and health & safety procedures
- Representing the business professionally at customer sites
Shift Pattern
- 4 on 4 off
- 06:00 / 07:00 starts
- Start date: 20/08/2026
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR beneficial, but not essential
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working around healthcare / clinical environments
- Safety-focused approach
