Business Development Manager
Bridgwater, Somerset (office-based with daily regional travel)
£30,000–£36,000 + uncapped commission | OTE £50,000–£60,000

Driver Hire Bridgwater is growing fast—and we’re hiring a Business Development Manager to take ownership of regional growth, win new clients, and develop long-term partnerships.
This is a senior, consultative role for someone who enjoys being out with clients, building trusted relationships, and driving revenue through smart, solutions-led conversations.
What you’ll be doing
Visiting clients and prospects daily across Somerset, arranging meetings and representing the business professionally
Generating new business through targeted outreach, networking, referrals and proactive market activity
Managing a structured pipeline from first contact to proposal, negotiation and onboarding
Working closely with the recruitment team to ensure a smooth handover and strong service delivery
Developing and retaining existing accounts—spotting opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and expand relationships
Selling a full 360° recruitment solution, positioning Driver Hire as a long-term partner (not just a supplier)
Identifying additional value opportunities through training services, including driver training, to support client performance and compliance
Keeping activity, forecasts and KPIs on track with a disciplined, organised approach
What we’re looking for
Proven B2B sales / business development experience (consultative, relationship-led)
Confident meeting decision-makers and influencing at senior level
Highly organised, self-motivated, and driven to achieve high performance
Comfortable working autonomously with clear targets and accountability
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Transport/logistics/recruitment/service background is a strong advantage
What you’ll get
