7.5t/C1 Driver

🚛 Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Driver (Category C1 Licence)
📍 Location: Letchworth
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 0500–4pm 
💷 Salary: £16.50 per hour

🔧 Main Responsibilities:

• Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle to perform collections

• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring items are secure

• Follow planned routes and schedules

• Complete collection paperwork and logbooks accurately

• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after driving

• Provide excellent customer service

• Follow all road and transport laws, including tachograph rules

🧾 Requirements:

• Valid Category C1 licence (required for driving 7.5t vehicles)

• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

• Tachograph card (digital)

• Good knowledge of local/national roads

• Physically fit –  manual handling required

• Good timekeeping and communication skills

➕ Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Previous multi-drop or courier experience

• Clean driving record

• Knowledge of using route planning devices or apps
