Stephen Hobbs, and his recruitment team at Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich, have plenty to celebrate right now. They collected Driver Hire’s coveted ‘Franchisee of the Year’ award at our recent 40th anniversary celebration.
The award recognises not just Bury St Edmund’s trading performance, but also the contribution they make to Driver Hire’s franchise network.

Stephen Hobbs bought the Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich franchise in 2019 after a successful career in finance. Commenting on the award, he added: “Our genuine 24/7 service, attention to detail and reliable team of temps ensures we’re able to both retain existing customers but also gain new ones. It’s great for the whole of the team to have their efforts recognised – a proud moment for the business.”
Driver Hire Nationwide is celebrating 40 years in business. Working with both the public and private sector, we provide temporary and permanent staff to the road transport & logistics industry – and indeed any local or national organisations that operate a fleet of goods vehicles.
