Big news in Banff and Buchan as Driver Hire expands

Driver Hire Aberdeen, the award winning, local leading supplier of staff to the road transport and logistics industry, is now covering Banff and Buchan. The man behind the move is Driver Hire Aberdeen director, Alistair Wilson.

Driver Hire is a franchise business with 100 branches nationwide, fourteen of which are in Scotland. Fellow-director, Grant Wilson, bought the Aberdeen franchise in 1994. Over the past thirty years, Driver Hire Aberdeen has grown to be one of the network’s top performing offices, with annual turnover of more than £3m.

“Our success is very much based on Aberdeen’s heartland,” says Alistair. “When we started looking to grow the business further it became apparent that the wider Aberdeenshire area offered plenty of opportunities. It already provides around 10% of our turnover – establishing a new recruitment hub for the area enables us to deliver a more localised service.”

Driver Hire Banff and Buchan provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – the team will supply them with a suitable replacement.

Alistair continues: “Our new venture will be supported by our entire management and operations team who’ll be on hand to deal with both day-to-day and last-minute recruitment needs. We’re already supplying drivers and other staff to a number of local businesses and national companies who have depots in the area. And, of course, we’re really looking forward to meeting the staffing needs of other local businesses and organisations right across our new territory.”
