Fabricator/Welder – Peterhead
Location: Peterhead
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000
Hours: 38 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Driver Hire is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join their Peterhead workshop.
The Role
- Fabrication, welding and structural assembly
- Primarily MIG and FCAW
- Cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting and plate preparation
- Working from fabrication drawings
- Equipment repair, modification and refurbishment
About You
- Time-served Fabricator / Welder or equivalent
- Experience in fabrication, welding and structural assembly
- Able to read fabrication drawings
- Carbon steel experience
- Good attention to detail and strong safety awareness
Welding codings: Previous coding experience is sufficient, with candidates put through new codings after successful completion of probation.
Forklift, MEWP or lifting qualifications advantageous.
