Job details
A warehouse operative with a reach and counterbalance forklift licence is required for a busy manufacturing site in the Barnstaple area. You’ll be picking and packing orders, replenishing stock and keeping the warehouse running smoothly day to day, with occasional van deliveries out to customers. If you’re an experienced forklift driver who likes to keep busy and enjoys being part of a friendly team, this could be a great fit.

Salary
£13.28 per hour (approximately £25,894 per year based on full-time hours)
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders using a handheld PDA
- Letting your supervisor know quickly if stock doesn’t add up
- Replenishing pick faces both physically and on the system
- Rotating stock to keep everything moving on a FIFO basis
- Booking in deliveries and unloading goods
- Putting stock away and keeping the warehouse tidy
- Making occasional van deliveries to customers
Qualifications
Essential:
- Forklift licence for Reach and Counterbalance trucks, with a high level of experience
- Full valid driving licence with no more than 6 points, for speeding offences only
- Physically fit, comfortable handling large, awkward shaped and palletised goods
- Good timekeeping
- A friendly, approachable team player who’s happy chatting with customers face to face
