HGV Class 1

Driver Hire Stoke is delighted to be assisting one of the UK’s leading toy retailers, based in Newcastle in their search for Class 1 HGV drivers, to carry out store deliveries across the Country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport goods to various destinations nationwide.
• Secure loads using ratchet straps.
• Ensure compliance with all driving regulations and company policies.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.

Assignment Rates (inc of holiday pay):

• Weekdays – Days: £16.25ph
• Weekdays – Nights: £17.37ph
• Saturdays: £17.37ph
• Sundays: £19.34ph
• Bank Holidays: £19.34ph

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
• Minimum 24 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Comfortable and proficient in using ratchet straps.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic laws.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

This vacancy is full time work starting from end of Aug until Christmas and in to the New Year

You will be assessed on site by an in-house team of trainers, before commencing work immediately.
