HGV Driver – Long‑Term Ongoing Work | Workington | Whitehaven
Driver Hire Carlisle is currently recruiting for multiple HGV Drivers for long term ongoing work with our well known and established client in the following areas Workington and Whitehaven .This is a great opportunity for a HGV driver looking for steady, reliable work with a possibility of Temp-perm. The role involves operating a HGV Class 2 rear-wheel-drive bin wagon collecting waste bins around residental , commercal and industrial estates, so a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and compliance is essential.
All sites have a first day induction of ½ day office/paperwork based then half day in the vehicle, and for those with minimal/no experience this will include a driving assessment.
WORKINGTON –06:15am starts
WHITEHAVEN-07:15am starts
The Role for a HGV Driver:
- Shifts run across Monday -Friday
- Saturday overtime available
- Overtime paid after 39 hours
- £17.00 PAY ADV Monday-Friday
- £25.00 PAY ADV Saturdays /Overtime
- £33.50 PAY ADV Sundays /Bank Holidays
- Completing local and regional collections as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Immediate starts
- Representing both the client and Driver Hire Carlisle professionally
What You’ll Need:
- Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement
- New Passess accepted
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong understanding of site safety and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
This role is ideal for a HGV driver seeking stable, long‑term work with the possibility of Temp-perm after 12 weeks
