Class 2 Driver

Location: Mansfield
Pay: £17.75 per hour (Agency) | Daily Overtime Paid
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start Time: Approximately 7:00am – 7:30am

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver on behalf of our well-established client based in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a respected steel distribution company, delivering steel products to commercial customers throughout the Midlands.

The Role

• Delivering steel products to commercial and industrial customers across the Midlands
• Safely securing loads using straps and chains
• Carrying out vehicle checks and completing all relevant paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Complying with all drivers’ hours, tachograph legislation and road transport regulations
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required (some heavy lifting may be involved)

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
• Have the right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Previous experience delivering steel or other heavy materials
• Experience securing loads using straps and chains

Pay & Benefits

• £17.75 per hour whilst working through the agency
• Daily overtime paid after qualifying hours
• Monday to Friday working pattern – weekends free
