Job Title: PSV Mechanic / IRTEC Qualified Technician
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: Up to £48,971.38 per year

Are you an experienced IRTEC qualified mechanic looking for a new opportunity? Our Waterlooville based customer is seeking a dedicated and skilled PSV Mechanic to join their growing team.
This role is essential in ensuring their vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, keeping their operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with PSV vehicles, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
- IRTEC Licence or IRTEC Technician Accreditation
- Proven experience as a mechanic within the automotive or machinery sector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostic equipment, and repair tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough inspections of PSV vehicles and machinery
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tyre rotations
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialist equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work completed
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to improve service delivery and workshop efficiency
- Keep up to date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical technology
