Yard Operative (FLT Counterbalance) – Immediate Start
Location: Congleton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Contract: Temp ongoing
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative with an in-date FLT Counterbalance licence to join a busy and well-established builders’ merchant based in Congleton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, outdoor environment and interacting with customers on a daily basis.
The Role:
- General yard duties including loading and unloading materials
- Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
- Assisting customers on the yard with their orders
- Picking and preparing building materials
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard
Requirements:
- Valid (in-date) FLT Counterbalance licence
- Previous experience working in a yard / builders’ merchant environment (preferred)
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
