Are you a skilled Diesel Fitter looking for a varied, hands-on role with a respected specialist engineering business?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established supplier of Hydraulic and Electric Submersible Pumps, known for technical excellence and long-term customer partnerships. 🔧 The Role
As a Diesel Fitter, you’ll enjoy a split role between the workshop and customer sites, working on a diverse range of diesel-powered equipment. No two days are the same, and your mechanical expertise will be genuinely valued.
Key responsibilities include:
- Dismantling, diagnosing, repairing, and refitting Diesel Pumps.
- Workshop-based repair and overhaul work
- Attending customer sites across the Exeter area as required
- Participating in a breakdown call-out rota
- Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
🛠️ What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with practical, mechanically minded engineers who enjoy fault-finding and precision work.
You’ll ideally have:
- A completed Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship
- Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter, ideally with pumps or engines
- Confidence stripping, repairing, and fitting mechanical components
- Marine or HGV background (highly advantageous)
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Residence within commuting distance of Cullompton / Exeter

- Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:30 (early finish!)
- Overtime available
- Call Out Bonus £100 (in addition to the hours worked)
