We are looking for a Yard Hand Operative for a full-time permanent role based in Newton Abbot. This is a physically demanding role working in an outdoor yard environment and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a busy team.
The role involves general yard duties, loading and unloading goods, manual handling, and operating a counterbalance forklift for part of the day.
Immediate start available.

£29,009.70 per annum
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out general yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
• Complete manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis
• Operate a counterbalance forklift for around two hours per day
• Support the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
• Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe at all times
Qualifications
Essential
• Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ready to start immediately
Desirable
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Experience using a counterbalance forklift in a busy workplace
