Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers for a well-established client, with opportunities available across both Edinburgh East and West depots.

🕒 Working Patterns
📍 Edinburgh West – Ad Hoc Work
- Flexible, as-and-when shifts
- Typical start time: 7:00am
- Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility
📍 Edinburgh East – Full-Time Ongoing Role
- Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays)
- Consistent 8:00am starts
- Ongoing work with potential for long-term opportunity
➕ Additional shifts may be available across both locations depending on demand
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE:
- £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
PAYE Advanced:
- £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
🚚 The Role
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries
- Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service
✅ What You’ll Need
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
