We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand Operative to join our client in the Newton Abbot area.

This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who are comfortable with manual handling and working in an outdoor yard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• General yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

• Loading and unloading goods

• Manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis

• Operating a counterbalance forklift (approximately 2 hours per day)

• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks

Requirements:

• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)

• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting

• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ready to start immediately

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday

• 8:00am – 5:00pm

• 42.5 hours per week

Salary & Benefits:

• £29,009.70 per annum

• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days with service

• Bupa healthcare cover (including support for prescriptions, optical care, etc.)

• Two company social events per year

• Full uniform provided
