💷 £15.50 per hour (PAYE) | £17.37 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
⏱ Overtime: £20.66 PAYE | £23.15 PAYE Advanced
🕒 Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work with a well-established client in the Edinburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking consistent work with the support of a leading specialist driving agency.
🔧 The Role
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks before each shift
- Completing a mix of local and long-distance trunking work
- Transporting palletised goods between depots and distribution centres
- Minimal manual handling – forklifted on/off at delivery points
- Ensuring all paperwork and delivery records are completed accurately
- Adhering to all driving laws, WTD regulations, and health & safety standards
🕒 Shift Patterns
- Various start times available (days, backs, and occasional nights)
- Monday to Friday work with weekend shifts available depending on demand
- Shifts typically 8–12 hours in length
✅ Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Hold a valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence
- Have a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Have no more than 9 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Have at least 1 year of HGV driving experience
- Be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
⚠️ Additional Information
- Drug and alcohol testing will be carried out at induction and randomly throughout employment
- Full site induction and training provided before starting
💰 Pay & Benefits
- £15.50 per hour (PAYE)
- £17.37 per hour (PAYE Advanced – includes holiday pay)
- Overtime paid at:
- £20.66 (PAYE)
- £23.15 (PAYE Advanced)
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift
- Weekly pay
- Holiday pay accrued with every shift
