Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering an exciting temp-perm opportunity for an experienced HGV 7.5 Tonne driver with our client in Andover. For this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of building supplies to a loyal customer base. Please note, this is a physically demanding role that involves a fair amount of heavy lifting.
*You will receive a £100 Bonus for the first 20 shifts that you complete with Driver Hire.*
Position: HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver
Days: Monday – Friday
Start time: 07:00-17:00
Location: Andover
Pay Rate: £14.57 (basic), £16.81 (Nights & Saturdays), £18.49 (Sunday & Bank Holiday) an hour. Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay. Salary once permanent is £32,000 per year.
As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver you MUST have:
- a valid UK HGV driving licence
- a minimum of 12 months of recent commercial experience
- a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
- your own transport to get to and from work
As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver you will be responsible for:
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
- Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
