A well-established builders merchant based in Crewe is looking to recruit a reliable FLT Driver / Yard Operative to join their busy yard team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, dealing with customers, and being part of a hardworking team.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00
-
Every other Saturday: 07:00 – 12:00
The Role
-
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
-
Loading and unloading vehicles safely
-
Assisting customers on the yard with orders and enquiries

Picking and preparing materials for collection and delivery
-
General yard duties including keeping the yard clean and organised

Stock taking and helping to manage stock levels

Working closely with the yard and sales teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements

Valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
-
Previous experience in a builders merchant, yard or similar environment preferred

Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Good customer service skills and a helpful attitude

Reliable and willing to get stuck in with all aspects of yard work
