We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-run logistics operation based in Robertsbridge, East Sussex.
This is a key role within the transport team, responsible for planning and coordinating general haulage work across the UK. You will be maximising fleet efficiency, optimising routes, and ensuring full compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph legislation, and O-Licence undertakings. It is a busy and varied position, so you will need to be confident managing drivers, problem-solving on the go, and keeping a close eye on costs.
The working day is 10 hours with a 1-hour lunch break, and occasional weekend cover may be required. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and the role comes with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and a contributory pension.
We are looking for someone with solid transport office experience in general haulage, a strong grasp of UK transport law, and good commercial awareness. A Class 1 licence would be a distinct advantage, though not essential.
