HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Driver Hire Edinburgh West
📍 Location: West Lothian
💷 Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
🕒 Work Type: Ad hoc / Casual / Part-time
Occasional full-time hours may be available, though these cannot be guaranteed
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) drivers to support a range of clients across West Lothian. This role is ideal for drivers seeking flexible, non-permanent work with the ability to choose shifts that fit around their availability.

Driver Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
-
Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience (essential)

No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
(No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements) -
Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport legislation

Strong communication and customer service skills
-
A professional, reliable and flexible attitude
Typical Duties May Include:
-
Trunking, store deliveries and depot-to-depot runs
-
General haulage and pallet network work
-
A-to-B vehicle movements
-
Coupling and uncoupling trailers
-
Loading and unloading where required
-
Completing daily vehicle checks and complying with safety standards
