HGV Class 2 Driver – Flour Deliveries | Ad-Hoc Shifts
📍 Location: North Edinburgh
🕕 Start Time: 6:00 AM
💪 Role: Physically Active – Manual Handling Required
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking a Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver to support a well-established flour distribution company, delivering to bakeries and wholesale customers throughout Edinburgh and nearby areas.
This flexible, ad-hoc role is ideal for experienced drivers who want variety, regular local routes, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts across other Driver Hire assignments.
💰 Pay Rates:
Including Advanced Holiday Pay:

£15.69/hr (basic)

£20.91/hr (overtime)
With Holiday Pay Accrued Separately:

£14.00/hr (basic)

£18.66/hr (overtime)
🚚 Key Responsibilities:

Deliver flour and baking goods to local bakeries and wholesale customers

Work with a driver’s mate to support with manual lifting and handling
-
Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate delivery paperwork

Provide excellent customer service on every delivery

Follow all road safety rules and company procedures
✅ Requirements:

Full HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence (held for at least 12 months)

Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
