🚛 Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Ongoing Work (Minimum 8 Weeks) with Potential for Permanent Role | Edinburgh
📍 Location: Edinburgh
🕒 Start Times: 7am starts Monday – Friday with weekend work available.
💰 Pay Rates:
• Monday–Friday: £14.00 PAYE / £15.69 PAYE Advanced
• Overtime (after 8hrs): £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Saturday: £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Sunday: £28.00 PAYE / £31.38 PAYE Advanced
✅ 8-hour minimum guarantee per shift
✅ Weekly pay + holiday accrual (if not on PAYE Advanced)
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join one of our trusted clients based in Edinburgh.
This role offers ongoing work for at least 8 weeks, with the potential to extend or go permanent for the right candidate. Perfect if you’re looking for steady hours, great pay, and a supportive team environment!
🚚 What You’ll Be Doing:
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to make multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
• Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading, unloading, and heavy lifting
• Completing all deliveries safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate paperwork
• Delivering excellent customer service at every stop
✅ What You’ll Need:
• Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Fewer than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
