Class 2 HGV Driver – Steel Deliveries (Altham)
Location: Altham (commutable from Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington, Nelson)
Pay: £13.15 – £19.15 per hour (PAYE)
Start Time: 07:00am
Hours: Full-time and part-time available
Type: Ongoing work – immediate starts available
The Role
We’re looking for experienced and reliable Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to join a well-established local steel distribution company based in Altham.
You’ll be delivering palletised steel products across the local area — typically 5–10 drops per day. The work is straightforward and steady, with no handball required — you’ll just need to ensure loads are safely strapped and secured.
This is an ongoing, consistent role with immediate starts available for the right drivers. Both full-time and part-time hours are on offer, making it ideal for drivers looking for regular local work without long days away from home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering palletised steel safely and efficiently to local customers.
- Carrying out vehicle checks and following all site safety procedures.
- Strapping and securing loads (experience with steel preferred).
- Working to a steady delivery schedule — no rush, no nonsense.
- Communicating professionally with customers and the transport team.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
Experience strapping and securing heavy or long loads (steel preferred).
Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach.
Good local knowledge of East Lancashire and surrounding areas.
