Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Operative for our customer based in Hayes, a leading Building materials supplier
TEMP TO PERM 4 WEEKS – Permanent contract if successful
£14.37 incl. Holiday pay / £30,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 7am to 5pm (45 hours per week)
- 1 hour break
Working in a very busy warehouse, the successful candidate will assist in the loading and offloading of goods on/off lorries and in/out of the Warehouse whilst also assisting with other warehouse related duties, including working in an outside yard.
- Safely transporting orders loading & offloading including large bags of aggregates, sand & cement using a Counterbalance Forklift
- Keeping the warehouse and yard tidy and hazard free
- Handle all goods with care and attention
- General warehouse duties included
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence for a minimum of 1 year
- At least 6 months minimum experience as Counterbalance Forklift Operative in a builders merchants
- You must be over the age of 21 years
- Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Applicants must also have a very good command of both verbal and written English
- Familiarity with warehouse regulations and safety standards
