Driver Hire Edinburgh City are on the lookout for a reliable and safety-focused Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver to join a busy waste management team in the East Lothian area. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers seeking steady, long-term work — but we also welcome applications from newly qualified drivers with a positive attitude and the drive to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:
-
Safely operating a Class 2 (Category C) bin lorry on scheduled routes

Working closely with loaders and colleagues to complete waste and recycling collections

Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing all necessary paperwork
-
Following road safety regulations and company procedures
-
Representing the company in a professional manner when dealing with the public
What we need from you:
Essential:
-
Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence
-
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
Desirable:
-
Previous bin lorry/waste management experience
-
Knowledge of local routes
The ideal candidate will be:

Dependable, punctual, and physically fit

A team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Shifts & Hours:

4 on / 4 off rota

Early morning starts
-
Full-time hours
