HGV Shunter Driver

Driver Hire Stockport is recruiting on behalf of our well-respected client in Glossop for a HGV Shunter Driver/Loader. You’ll join a supportive and valued team, with full training provided.

This is a dual-role position, with approximately 90% warehouse/loading duties and 10% vehicle/trailer shunting. Ideal for candidates looking for a stable night shift role with variety.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 22:00 – 06:00

Key Responsibilties:

• Assist with warehouse loading duties

• Safely shunt HGV vehicles/trailers around site as required

• Follow RWTR, Drivers’ Hours, and Break regulations

• Use internal/external strapping where required

• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements:

• Valid HGV licence (for shunting duties)

• Flexible and reliable attitude

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to take part in training

• £19.05ph  (PAYE, including holiday pay)

• £23.53ph  overtime (after 8 hours)
