A position has recently become available for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our clients’ busy team in Grimsby. Our client is a well-established retail outlet supplying electrical goods to the general pubic and trade customer. They are offering a varied role with the opportunity for progression.
The Role
Driver
- Loading goods into the delivery vehicle.
- Organised and matching orders with the customers’ requirements.
- Effectively planning the best routes to make customer deliveries.
- Making timely deliveries using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area.
- Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery vans and informing management of any issues.
- Interacting and communicating with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Unloading packages at the destination and getting clients to sign the necessary paperwork
Warehouse
- Dealing with supplier deliveries and storing stock in the warehouse
- managing any shortages or damaged stock from deliveries.
- Accurately picking orders, loading vans and making regular checks.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
- Packing and wrapping on goods ready to be sent out on carriers.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Previous warehouse experience (Desirable)
- Forklift License – Counterbalance (Desirable)
