About Us: Driver Hire Colchester is a leading recruitment agency dedicated to connecting skilled individuals with rewarding job opportunities. We are currently seeking ADHOC Van Drivers (up to 3.5 Tonne) for various assignments in Colchester.
Job Description:
As an ADHOC Van Driver with Driver Hire Colchester, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely transporting goods within the specified location. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible working arrangements with a minimum guaranteed 8 hours per shift. Must have previous commercial driving experience in a similar role.
Please note this pay rate includes our holiday at 12.07% – Not umbrella, PAYE with holiday included in your pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving: Operate a 3.5-tonne van to transport goods to and from designated locations.
- Delivery/Pickup: Safely load and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
- Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently.
- Last Minute Work: Successful applicants must be available to take on work at a moments notice.
- Multi-Drop: Some of our work includes multi-drop deliveries, please only apply if you are happy doing this.
Requirements:
- Driving License: A valid UK driving license with the ability to operate a 3.5-tonne van.
- Experience: Must have commercial driving experience
- Flexibility: Ability to work on an ADHOC basis and adapt to changing schedules.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving goods as part of the loading and unloading process.
- Reliability: Punctual and committed to fulfilling the minimum guaranteed hours.
