Position: Meat Production Operative
Location: Plymouth
Driver Hire Plymouth & Cornwall are currently looking to take on a new member of staff to work in a busy meat preparation facility based in Plymouth. We are looking for someone to cover the cutting and trimming of Hams, along with other related duties. This will be a full time, ongoing position.
About the job:
- Shifts will be Monday – Friday starting at 07:00 and finishing at 17:00.
- Meat preparation, trimming and cutting role will be paid at £11.67 per hour.
- PAYE – Internal payroll meaning we don’t use umbrella firms!
- Pension contribution & holiday accrual.
- Weekly pay.
- Training will be provided.
- This is an ongoing full time position with possible perm vacancies available for the right candidate.
Job requirements:
- A full and valid Category B licence.
- The ability to lift and carry throughout the day, as well as being happy to work in a refrigerated, cold environment. (PPE is provided)
- Previous butchery / meat prep experience would be advantageous but not required.
- Working mobile phone.
Please be aware that the advertised pay for this job role is an advanced payroll method, meaning the rate is inclusive of your holiday pay at 12.07%. We are more than happy to accommodate a standard payroll method if you prefer to accrue and take holiday separately.
