Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) HGV Drivers to support some of our long-established removals and relocation clients.
This is an ad-hoc role, perfect for drivers who value flexibility. We can also offer access to additional driving work across our wider client base, helping you keep your earnings steady.
Our removals clients are professional, well-organised, and known for their supportive working environments. They’re looking for drivers who are reliable, practical, and take pride in providing great customer service.
This role would suit someone who enjoys physical work, meeting new people, and working closely with a hardworking, friendly team.
🔧 The Role
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle in and around Edinburgh, with occasional UK-wide runs
• Helping with the safe loading and unloading of furniture and household goods
• Supporting customers during an important and often stressful time
• Working as part of an experienced removals team to ensure smooth, efficient moves
• Treating all items with care, professionalism, and attention to detail
✅ What You’ll Need
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• A positive, team-player attitude
• Removals experience is useful but not essential — full training provided

✔ Overtime (Paid after 8 hours each day) – £18.66 per hour (holiday pay not included) £20.91 per hour (including advanced holiday pay)
