Driver Hire Edinburgh West – Class 1 Drivers Required
Location: West Lothian
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Job Type: Ad Hoc / Casual / Part-Time (Occasional full-time hours may be available but cannot be guaranteed)
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 driver seeking flexible, varied work without committing to a full-time role? Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking for professional, dependable, and safety-conscious Class 1 drivers to support our clients with a range of ad hoc assignments throughout West Lothian.
What We Offer:

Flexible shift patterns – pick up work when you’re available

A variety of Class 1 driving assignments
What We’re Looking For:
-
Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
-
CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
-
At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience

Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only) – no IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements
-
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
-
Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations

A positive, adaptable, and professional attitude
Typical Duties May Include:
-
Trunking runs, trailer swaps, and long-distance A–B movements
-
General haulage or pallet network work
-
Deliveries and collections for a range of industries

Loading and unloading when required
-
Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring safety compliance
