Driver Hire is recruiting for a Class 2 HIAB Driver for one of the leading builders’ merchants in the area. The role involves delivering a vast range of materials to houses and construction sites using a brick grab attachment on a HIAB.
Our client is very health and safety focused. They do not want their drivers on the bed of the lorry. All work is undertaken using the remote control.
An attractive package is offered. Starting salary of £28,000, plus overtime, plus bonus.

HOURS AND PAY
- Expect to earn in the region of £32,000 per annum
- After a short temp to perm period
- 4 weeks holiday per year
- 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday
- Plus alternate Saturday mornings

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HGV CLASS 2, CAT C HIAB DRIVER
- Perform daily vehicle inspection checks
- Ensure your loads is safely strapped and secured
- Deliver a range of roofing and construction materials
- Deliveries across the region and sometimes into London
- Interact with the staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Safe use of the HIAB
- Adhere to all drivers hours and safe loading regulations

- Cat C licence
- CPC card
- Digi tacho card
- HIAB card with brick grab
- Verifiable references
