We are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate / Van Driver for our client based in the Billericay area.
Working for an established independent Kitchen Supplier, your role will require you to deliver Kitchens to sites throughout the UK, including London.
Due to the nature of the position, the ideal candidate will class themselves as physically fit to safely complete any lifting elements in the role.
Predominantly working as a Drivers Mate to assist with deliveries, you will also be required to drive the Van to customer locations as and when needed.
As a lot of the deliveries involve going to building sites, therefore our client has stipulated that ideally the new starter will hold a CSCS card. Candidates who are interesting in training to achieve their CSCS will also be considered.
This assignment is on a temporary to permanent basis, meaning you will work for the company via the agency for 12 weeks before transferring as a permanent member of staff.
Working hours
Monday to Friday
Minimum 40 hour week
7am to 3:30pm roughly – flexibility is key for finish times!
Salary
Perm basis:
WITH CSCS card – £12 per hour
WITHOUT CSCS card – £10.50 per hour
Temp basis (first 12 weeks):
INC holiday pay – £11.20 per hour *
EXC holiday pay – £10 per hour
*holiday pay is to be requested in writing each week by the candidate via timesheet
