Temporary Position/ Bank Staff

Location: Southend

Salary: £11.67 per hr (this rate includes holiday pay)

7am Start

Monday to Friday – 8 Hour shift

Saturday – 8 hours (If required)

What you will be doing

  • Drivers Mate/Porter providing support to the Driver of a Heavy Goods Lorry, delivering into Customers’ homes and Businesses
  • Delivery of on average 30 drops.
  • Unload deliveries to Customer locations.
  • Completing Delivery Paperwork
  • Provide excellent Customer Service
  • Filling in Safety at Work Forms and Time-sheets


  • Possession of Hi Vis vest, Steel toe cap safety boots and ballistic trousers
  • A good understanding of Manual Handling and ability to do any Heavy Lifting required
  • Team player who is also capable of working in a team
  • Excellent time-management
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good time-sheets administration
  • Ability to follow instructions
